The Boeing 727-100 was a narrow-body trijet airliner designed by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. It was the first trijet airliner to be introduced and was produced from 1960 to 1984. Lufthansa was one of the launch customers for the Boeing 727 and operated a large fleet of the aircraft throughout its history.
