N743PA was a Boeing 747-121 originally delivered to Pan American World Airways (Pan Am) in 1970.

Here's a summary of its history:

During its time with Pan Am, N743PA also spent some time leased to American Airlines in 1970 while they awaited delivery of their own 747s. 

  • Original Delivery: 1970 to Pan Am
  • Name: Clipper Black Sea
  • Withdrawal from Pan Am: 1991
  • Conversion: Converted to a freighter in 1992

Subsequent Operators:

    • Tower Air (as N490GX in 1992, then N617FF in 1995)
    • Logistic Air (2004)
    • THT (2008, registered as S2-AFA)

Final Status: Withdrawn from service and became derelict at Johor Bahru, Malaysia in 2010.
