In 2016, Lufthansa was launching carrier of the A320neo. Three years later, in 2019, the first stretched A321neo followed. Of the 43 A321neos ordered to date, fifteen have been delivered. The current generation aircraft have a range of up to 5,500 kilometers and a reduction in fuel consumption of a good 20% compared with the “classic” A321.
