LONDON GATWICK 18TH JANUARY 2024
Posted by Malcolm at Airspotters.com on 18th Jan 2024
Amidst the chilly winds of a wintry afternoon, I stood on the footpath that ran alongside the bustling London to Brighton A23 road. This spot served as an ideal location to catch a glimpse of the iconic London to Brighton Old Crocks race that takes place each year in November. It is normally the first Sunday of the month. As I looked up to the skies above, I dream of capturing a snapshot of an old croc on the road alongside a modern-day aircraft flying over the top. A picture that would perfectly juxtapose the past and present. I have managed to take a few pictures today and am grateful for the kind messages of appreciation that I receive. It struck me that while the airport lay only three miles away from my home, for some enthusiasts, it was situated across the world. I vow to continue sharing my passion for photography by posting more pictures on this page, a New Year's resolution that I am proud to have kept. As always, feel free to visit Airspotters.com for models and follow this page. It inspires me to do more for you.
