In the 1970s, London Gatwick airport welcomed the iconic American 707, also other classic aircraft.

This is my own cine film I took back in 1975 at Gatwick. Never seen a AA 707 at Gatwick and never saw one after this one. Saw a few at Heathrow but this one was a Gatwick Special and cannot think why it came in.It was not a divert and was a planned flight. I remembered hearing about it a few days before. Its not the best Cine film but one thats does show you Gatwick as it was like back in the 1970's. I was nearly 18 when I was here filming history. Remember today boring Easyjet and TUI will one day be old footage new generations will want to see. It is much easier today to get film not so easy back then in 1970's or the "Life on Mars Days".
