The Aeroclassics BEA Airtours DH.106 Comet 4B G-ARJN Scale 1/400 ACGARJN is a diecast model aircraft of the de Havilland DH.106 Comet, the world's first commercial jet airliner, in the livery of BEA Airtours, a subsidiary of British European Airways (BEA) focused on package holidays.
The real DH.106 Comet 4B, registration G-ARJN, first flew in 1vailability 1961 and entered service with BEA in 1962. It was one of a short-lived batch of Comet 4Bs that had a lengthened fuselage compared to the earlier Comet 4 variant. The aircraft was involved in a landing incident at Milan Linate Airport in Italy on August 2, 1963, due to deteriorating runway visibility. There were no injuries, and the aircraft was repaired and returned to service. It continued to fly with BEA until it was retired in 1970.
